Someone always ends up planning the trip. For me, that's just how it goes.
Before anyone else has thought about a wine weekend, I've usually spent hours figuring out which wineries actually fit the group — who wants big reds, who wants something lighter, who just wants a view worth the drive. Then comes the harder part: laying it out so you're not backtracking across the valley, and calling every winery on the list to lock in a reservation.
Four wineries in a day is already a lot. By the third or fourth stop, the details start to blur — which winery had the wine everyone went quiet over, which one had the view worth remembering. A week later, it's mostly gone.
I wanted an easier, more personal way to build a trip to a region I'd never visited, and a way to hold onto the wineries and wines worth revisiting — not buried in a group text or a camera roll. And because I'm almost always traveling with friends, I wanted them to see the plan, weigh in before we go, and help me learn from what they loved too. The best trips get better with more opinions in the room.
That's what My Wine Walk is built to do.
